Deformities in ants

Hi ant lovers.Has anybody taken a good look at their ants? I mean a real good look? Even though ants from the same nest, and within the same caste, generally look the same that is not always the case....

Wow this is really interesting; Gynandromorphism! Epic word! Heat changes affecting the development of brood like this makes it more obvious as to why ants shift their brood to warmer or colder...
